My wonderful 10 days in America

Friday July 23rd, 2010.
I left Japan for Encinitas in America. I was selected as an exchange student between Amakusa and Encinitas. It was my first trip overseas.



When I arrived in Encinitas, I was very nervous. But, I worried too much. My host family was very kind. They greeted me warmly. My host family’s daughter’s name was Emily. She always took me to interesting places. We went to the San Diego zoo, hiking, kayaking and many other places.

My most unforgettable experience was the evening of the 26th. I went to Emily’s friend’s house with another exchange student from Amakusa. The house had a trampoline. We jumped on it until we were tired. After we sprawled out on it. While looking at the night sky, we talked with our American friends about love. I never talked about love in America. I’ll never forget it!



Time really flew during my trip. Finally on the last day of my visit to America. There was a farewell party. I made a speech. I was very very sad. Emily and I hugged. We said ‘Thank you’ and left.

I made many American friends. I’ve never been this happy. I want to go to America again as soon as possible.

Kayak Event

Back after popular demand, this year we will be having another kayak event on July 11th. Since high tide is early in the morning, we have decided to get an early start at 7am. We will be finishing around 10am. The event will take place at the kayak facility in Itsuwa.

Please be sure to bring a swimsuit, a change of clothes, a long sleeved shirt, sneakers, a hat, a drink, and some food.

Price List
Single person kayak for adults is 200 yen per hour

Single person kayak for junior high school students and under is 100 yen per hour.

Tandem kayak for adults is 300 yen per hour

Tandem kayak for junior high school students and under is 150 yen per hour.

水着、着替え、長袖上着、帽子、飲み物、食べ物、
カヤック使用料、スニーカータイプの靴、うきわ
ライフジャケット（持っていたら）

Eucaly party for graduating high school students

On February 26th we held a small party for our graduating high school students.

We played some trivia games in English and attending students were given a farewell gift. We appreciate you and wish you the best in the future.

The Lion and the Mouse

Here is a play by my Shikaki Kindy （志柿保育園）students. 8 wonderful and energetic little girls. They performed and sang very well!! Thanks for the great year and hope to see you all again soon!

Seto Kindergarden`s English 発表会
